Inaport Product Tour - Usability

A major focus in the Version 7 release is usability - making Inaport easier to use.

Many of the changes are relatively small, or even invisible. Every form has been examined to see what can be changed to make use clearer or more consistent. Field names have been made more consistent, error messages rewritten to provide more information.

Community forums

Part of the process of developing Version 7 was redeveloping the InaPlex web site. Perhaps the most important change is the new Community Forums, where users can share their experiences.

In addition, users who have current Software Assurance have access to the Priority Support Forum, where InaPlex will respond to all questions within one working day.

Context sensitive help The help system has been completely changed and significantly expanded. Dynamic Help displays help corresponding to the screen or dialogue currently selected. The dynamic help can be turned off once you are familiar with the screens
New field mapping dialogue One of the major concerns from power users was mapping fields from the source to the target tables. A new field mapping dialogue allows you to see a full screen display of source and target fields, and the mapping grid between the two.
