Error When Trying to connect to ACT! 2008

Has anyone seen the following error when trying to connect to ACT! 2008 when creating a profile in inaport?

There was an error when trying to open a connection.
     The connector being opened was:
     Connectors/ACT TEST
Full text of the error message:
Could not load file or assembly 'Act.Shared.Diagnostics, Version=10.2.191.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=ebf6b2ff4d0a08aa' or one of its dependencies. Some possible causes of problems when opening a data connection include:
    1.  The connector has not been properly configured in the Connector Manager
    2.  The connector has been removed from the connector library

Re: Error When Trying to connect to ACT! 2008

    Hi

The issue is that Inaport connects to ACT using the API, which means it must actually be built against a version of ACT.

Unfortunately, Sage make breaking changes between versions. In particualr, when tehy went from V9 to V10 they introduced custom entities, but also made a number of other changes that broke backwards compatibility.

The build of Inaport on the web site has been compiled against ACT 10. To run against ACT 8 or 9, you will need a different build. If you email support@inaplex.com , we will sned you the correct build.

We will also shortly put both builds on the web site as separate installs.

    Sorry for the difficulties.

    Regards

    Admin
