Using a CSV from a Website with Inaport

    Hi There

I am trying to work out a good way to transfer data from our customer's website into their GoldMine database using Inaport. They have a contact form on their website that saves information to a CSV file.

Ideally I would like to point Inaport's CSV connector at a Website URL in order for it to download the latest data, however this does not appear to be possible.

Do you have any suggestions of how best to achieve this?

    Many Thanks

    Russell

    Hi Russell

Interesting question. Inaport has been used to pull Excel data from a URL, but never tried with text. If you send me the URL you are trying to use, I will have a play.

An alternative approach would be to have a batch process that copies the CSV file locally (perhaps using ftp) then runs Inaport. You will notice that the text connector has the ability to rename and/or move a text file to another directory after it has been processed, to facilitate exactly this process.

    HTH
